Our Global Missionaries

Kevin & Cindy Austin

(Global Partners - Czech Republic)

The Austins served with sports ministry teams and as missionaries with Global Partners in Germany and then the Czech Republic for many years.
They then returned to ministry in the States. In their most recent stateside ministry, they worked with students at Houghton College.

In early 2017, Kevin, and Cindy returned to the Czech Republic.  A formerly communist country, very few Czechs know about God or their need for a Savior. Kevin and Cindy are serving in the small city of Poděbrady, which is about an hour east of Prague.

They are working with Pastor Tomas and Misha Mojzis and the McMunn family, alongside a vibrant young church. Using Discovery Bible Studies, Remedy International Church is working with believers from many churches scattered across the country as part of a growing disciple-making movement.

Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you” (John 20:21 NIV).

Romy & Linda Caringal

(Global Partners - Directors of Asian Ministries )

Linda and Romy Caringal are physicians from the Philippines. They began their first term of missionary service in Zambia from 1988 -1995 where they provided holistic patient care at Zimba Mission Hospital. They served in Nepal with GP under the International Nepal Fellowship (INF) and United Mission to Nepal (UMN) from 1998 to 2006. Romy provided patient care at Regional Hospital in Pokhara and was pediatric consultant at Patan Hospital in Kathmandu. Linda served as  the HIV & AIDS program technical adviser.

In July 2007 Romy was appointed as the Asia area director for GP, and Linda assists him in various ways. Overseeing the Wesleyan ministries in 11 countries (Cambodia, India, Japan, Nepal, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, South Korea, Sri-Lanka, Thailand, & the Yawfa people) and supporting missionaries and national leaders  are major parts of their responsibilities.

The Caringals earned their medical degrees in the Philippines and their master’s degrees in public health from Yale University (Romy) and Boston University (Linda). They both completed cross-cultural studies at Overseas Ministries Study Center in Connecticut. Romy is an ordained minister of The Wesleyan Church. They have twins: Hannah and Nathan (’97).

Their threefold vision is (1) to see many lives transformed through a personal relationship with Christ, (2) to be used in ministries of compassion, and (3) to help leaders in developing and strengthening the churches in Asia.
