Ep. 11 From Shepherd to King
This week’s message looked at what it means to follow God when things are not clear or easy to figure out. We walked through David’s story and saw a man living in the tension between what God had promised and what was actually happening in front of him. He was anointed as king, yet still living under Saul’s rule.
There were real moments where David could have stepped in and taken control. He had the opportunity to end his suffering and move things forward. But he didn’t. Instead, he chose to trust God’s timing, even when it cost him something.
That’s where this hits home for us. Not every opportunity is ours to take. Not every situation is ours to fix. Sometimes following God means waiting, even when it feels uncomfortable or unresolved.
We were reminded that faith is not always about choosing between right and wrong. Sometimes it is about holding two things at once and trusting God in the middle of it.
At the end of it all, this message calls us to slow down, seek the Lord, and trust that He is working even when we cannot see the full picture.
